Corzzierrah Posala is a resource management professional with over 10 years’ experience. Mr. Posala has a diverse background in tropical biodiversity conservation, ecological research and academia, community-based sustainable natural resource management, and strategic program management.
Mr. Posala’s research experiences focus on terrestrial ecology in the Solomon Islands and Melanesia. His background career intersects supporting local and international non-government organisations, Australian Aid program and the Solomon Islands Government. Primarily managing the strategic implementation of programs and projects.
Prior to joining the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, Mr. Posala served under WWF-Solomon Islands. Significant contribution to his current role are his various background involvement with locally Marine Protected Area (MPA), coordinating marine threatened species projects, and sound knowledge on community-based natural resource governance.
He graduated with a Masters in Biology in 2016, at the University of the South Pacific. His research focused on the feeding behaviour of endemic fruit bats in the Solomon Islands. He was awarded a full PhD scholarship under the New Zealand MFAT Award in 2020 at Lincoln University, New Zealand. The proposed research focused on integrated pest management of the coconut rhinoceros beetle in the Pacific.
