The Coral Triangle Center celebrated The Coral Triangle Day 2014 by holding an Open House and bringing together schoolchildren, parents, and the local youth of Sanur for a day of fun and learning. More than 60 children participated in learning classes, games and interpretive drawing activities designed to teach them about marine conservation and sustainable resource use.The children listened to two 10-minute classes on marine habitats and the species that live in them. Each class ended with interactive quizzes, where the children competed to give the correct answers. A game of reefs and fishes followed, which taught the children about the human threats to marine life. And later in the day, the older children participated in an interpretive group drawing activity, while the younger ones were engaged in a coloring game.
