The Province of Cebu had an early start at celebrating the Coral Triangle Day 2014 with the May 30 culmination activities for the Philippine Ocean Month that also served to kick off three major environmental events in June: In addition to the Coral Triangle Day on June 9, the Province also observed World Environment Day on June 5 and World Oceans Day on June 8. They were joined by Partners from the Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID)-Philippines, the U.S. National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA), and various private sector groups.
