About This Event
Objectives
GYC (27 – 29 October 2023)
● To prepare for the GYC 2023 with tasks including: a) co-design the conference program; b) invite keynote expert speakers and mentors on coastal and marine ecosystems, climate change, unsustainable fisheries, IUU fishing, coastal livelihoods, and fair labor, among others.
● By way of GYC, to facilitate a platform for the youth (18 - 20 years old) and young professionals (21 - 35 years old) in building the regional network and sharing practices, raising voices in supporting the reform of regional fisheries to be sustainable.
● To provide capacity building assistance and technical knowledge for the youth and young professionals on the topic of coastal and marine ecosystems, climate change, unsustainable fisheries, IUU fishing, coastal livelihood, and fair labor, among others, through exercises, workshops, networking, field visit, and/or group discussions to be applied in their communities.
