About This Event

In reference to the recommendation made at the 18th Senior Officials’ Meeting on 7 November 2023, and the last Climate Change Adaptation Online Meeting on 1 March 2024, I am pleased to inform you that the USAID Sustainable Fish Asia Technical Support Activity (SuFiA-TS) is organizing, in collaboration with CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, a Climate Change Adaptation Regional Exchange (CCA REX) and the 7th CTI-CFF Climate Change Technical Working Group (CCA-TWG) Meeting for CCA-TWG Focal Points, NCCs and partners, on 15-17 May in Jakarta, Indonesia.

Objectives

Upon the request from the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, the SuFiA-TS will co-support a 3-Day CCA REX, commencing with the CCA 2nd Executive Course which focuses on capacity building, and includes sessions on climate change projections in the CT6, understanding resilience and vulnerability, and vulnerability assessments for CCA and case studies. In addition, the CCA REX shall also include a session on gender equality and social inclusion in CCA as an effort to integrate GESI per the CTI-CFF GESI Policy. Next is a workshop on Developing Communication, Education & Public Awareness (CEPA) Strategy for the Action Plan on CCA and the broader RPOA 2.0. Finally, there will be a workshop on Climate Risk Management Planning to develop a draft regional risk management plan for the region and marking the completion of the CCA REX. On day 3 of the event the CCA-TWG Meeting will be conducted concurrently with a Multi-Stakholder Techinical Discussion Meeting for non-CCA-TWG focal points.
