The search is underway for the first Executive Director of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat.

The Executive Director will serve as the chief administrative officer of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat responsible for discharge of all the functions and responsibilities of the Secretariat in accordance with the directives of the Senior Officials Meeting and the Ministerial Meeting, as well as providing strategic leadership and management of the Secretariat.

Interim Regional Secretariat (IRS) Chair, Prof. Dr. Ir. Sjarief Widjaja, Ph.D. FRINA, released an information pack detailing the duty statement, selection criteria and application requirements for the position. The information pack can be downloaded here.

Prospective candidates who meet the criteria are invited to submit their applications to Hudson Global Resources through Matthew Smee at matthew.smee@hudson.com or Claire Sullivan at Claire.sullivan@hudson.com by 11.30 pm (Australian Eastern Standard Time - AEST) on Friday, March 20, 2014. Applicants who cannot access the Internet may call Matthew or Claire on +61 2 6229 1555 during business hours to arrange an alternate method of application.

In addition to individual applications, CTI-CFF member-countries can also nominate candidates within the same time scale and in accordance with the selection criteria and application requirements described in the information pack. In a letter to the National Coordination Committee (NCC) Focal Points, the IRS Chair provided the following guidelines for nominations by the member-countries:

  1. 1. Each member country can make as many nominations as they wish.
  2. 2. Nominated applicants must be provided with the information pack and must provide a full application to the Facilitator by the closing date of applications (20 March 2014).
  3. 3. If a member country wishes to recommend any particular applicant or nomination and wishes to have the Facilitator make initial contact with them and discuss the position and application process, they must provide their full contact name and contact details as soon as possible to the Facilitator.
  4. 4. All nominated applicants will be assessed on merit against the full applicant pool and discussed with the CTI-CFF Appointments Committee at the shortlisting meeting.
  5. 5. All nominations shall be submitted directly to Hudson Global Resources through Matthew Smee at matthew.smee@hudson.com or Claire Sullivan at Claire.sullivan@hudson.com
  6. 6. Any queries in relation to the nomination process should be addressed directly to Matthew or Claire at Hudson Global Resources.

The Appointments Committee has a series of meetings scheduled for March and April to review applications, shortlist and interview candidates, and finally make their recommendation for the Executive Director. Confirmation of the appointment will be done at the 5th CTI-CFF Ministerial Meeting in May.
