About This Event

The 6th South China Sea themed sub-forum under the framework of Boao Forum for Asia (BFA) Annual Conference 2019 is scheduled to be held from 29 to 30 March 2019 in Boao, Hainan, China. Themed "Maritime Security in the Asia Pacific: Cooperation, Order and Rules," it will bring together distinguished speakers from government agencies, think tanks, research institutes, international organizations, and maritime industries both littoral countries of the South China Sea and extra-regional countries such as the United States, Canada, Germany, the United Kingdom and Japan, among others.

The South China themed sub-forum is designed to provide a high-end platform for close interaction and peer-to-peer dialogues to share wisdom and offer constructive ideas for enhancing regional peace, stability, prosperity and maritime cooperation. This year's sub-forum is co-organized by the NISCSS in collaboration with the Center for International Strategy and Security of Tsinghua University, and supported by China-Southeast Asia Research Center on the South China Sea and BFA Secretariat.
