CTI-CFF Youth Ambassadors Program Regional Workshop

Objectives

Objective 

Capacity Building (August 2024):

• To support the initial recruitment and implementation of the 2nd cohort of Youth Ambassadors and Young Professionals Program.

• To conduct online capacity-building activities (i.e., mentorship and/or sharing & learning sessions) on sustainable fisheries management integrated with coastal and marine ecosystems, climate change, unsustainable fisheries, IUU fishing, coastal livelihoods, and fair labor, among others.

• To provide expert mentorship to youth and young professionals in effective communication especially articulating their experiences and ideas.

• To provide guidance to ensure continuity/sustainability of the YAP program on behalf of CTI-CFF

CTI-CFF Regional Youth and Young Professionals Workshop on Sustainable Fisheries Management (11 – 13 September 2024):

• Obtain inputs from the youth and young professionals for the 2030 CTI-CFF Young Professionals and Youth Development Roadmap 

• To provide capacity building on coastal and marine ecosystems, climate change, unsustainable fisheries, IUU fishing, coastal livelihoods, and fair labor;  

• To provide a platform for participants to build regional network, share stories, experiences, plans and aspirations addressing issues surrounding unsustainable and IUU fishing, marine conservation, the loss of marine biodiversity, and addressing human rights and justice issues related to marine fisheries management.
