Theoretical and Practical Workshop for the Development of A Protocol for the Monitoring of MPA
About This Event
Conduct a regional workshop that brings together the representatives of the MPAs (regional, technical and professional groups) of the two initiatives, to develop the roadmap and implementation protocols for monitoring effectiveness for each initiative, with particular emphasis on possible adaptation measures to climate change, and management of invasive species in marine protected areas.
Objectives
Bring together the representatives of protected areas, both from the Tropical Eastern Pacific Marine Corridor -CMAR and the Coral Triangle Initiative (CTICFF) to share experiences regarding the management of marine protected areas and monitoring of invasive species, as well as participate in a workshop with other regional organizations that support the CMAR management.
