CT Day Webinar highlights marine litter and youth action

Indonesia, June 2020 - The Regional Secretariat of CTI-CFF in coordination with WWF and youth organizations, Kids for Kids in the Philippines and Sea Soldier North Sulawesi Indonesia conducted a webinar that raised awareness on the adverse impact of marine litter especially plastic wastes, shed light on ocean conservation and the numerous ways the Coral Triangle communities' well-being, and highlighted the work of youth organizations in the Philippines and Indonesia. 

Resource persons were Ms. Jackie Thomas of WWF Coral Triangle Programme; Ms. Isabella and Natasha Tanjutco, Founders of Kids for Kids Philippines and advocates of Bye Bye Plastic Bags Philippines; and Mr. Frengky Sihombing, Member of Sea Soldier North Sulawesi Indonesia. Dr. Mohd Kushairi Mohd Rajuddin, Executive Director of CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat  gave the welcome remarks.
