CTI-CFF Holds 8th Senior Officials Meeting and 4th Ministering Meeting in Malaysia
The CTI-CFF held its 8th CTI Senior Officials Meeting and 4th Ministerial Meeting on November 22-26, 2012. The high-level events were held in Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya, Malaysia and focused on the following key issues: progress on the process of the establishment of the CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat, review and endorsement of the CTI-CFF Regional Financial Architecture, review the roles, functions and coordination mechanism of the Regional Secretariat with other CTI-CFF bodies, review and agree on the criteria and process of admission for new CTI-CFF partner, endorse preparation plan for recruitment and development of operational systems for the permanent Regional Secretariat, and to endorse the communication strategy and work plan for 2013 among others. The CTI-CFF Council of Ministers (CTICOM) is the highest decision making body of the CTI-CFF and is composed of six government ministers from each of the Coral Triangle countries. The CTICOM meets every year and its current chair is the Government of Malaysia.
