The Regional Secretariat Visits NCC Indonesia to Strengthen the Coordination

The CTI-CFF Executive Director, Widi A. Pratikto paid a working visit to the Director General of Indonesian MMAF’s Marine Spatial Management, Brahmantya Satyamurti, in his capacity as Executive Secretary of Committee of Senior Officials (CSO) of Indonesia National Coordinating Committees (NCC) at MMAF Office, Thursday, 29 September 2016.

The main aim of the meeting is to have close communication and coordination between CTI-CFF Regional Secretariat and NCC Indonesia in preparing the 12th Senior Official Meeting and the 6th Ministerial Meeting in Papua New Guinea earlier next month.

The discussion also highlighted and briefed NCC Indonesia of the preparation of MoU signing plan between CTI-CFF and 3 (three) reputable Universities in Indonesia i.e. Bogor Agriculture Institute (IPB), Hasanudin University (Unhas), and The Tenth of November Institute of Technology (ITS). The MoU will provide mutual benefit for both NCC Indonesia and the respective Universities in aligning national and regional collaborations at the fields of Ecosystem Approach to Fisheries Management (EAFM), Live Reef Food Fish Trade (LRFFT), and Monitoring and Evaluation (M&E).

CTI-CFF Executive Director also will have a working visit to Solomon Island on 2-5 October 2016 for public lecturing in Solomon Island National University and to have several important meeting with Minister of Environment, Minister of Fisheries, and key persons at NCC Solomon Island - as well as a short working visit in PNG to have progress communication on SOM Preparation with the NCC PNG.
